【エチオピア・グジ シャキッソ村のナチュラルコーヒー】
エチオピア南部、シダモ地方のグジ・シャキッソ村に位置するTADE GG農園は、深い森の中に広がる静かな農園。ヤギなどの家畜が木々の間を歩き回る中、コーヒーの木は有機栽培で丁寧に育てられています。

この農園は、プロデューサーであるTesfaye Bekele氏によって2006年に創設されました。2000年代初頭の山火事により焼失した森の再生を目指し、森林保護とともにコーヒーの有機栽培を開始。以降、地域の小規模生産者と共に品質向上に取り組みながら、農園は現在521ヘクタールにまで拡大し、グジ地区を代表する存在となりました。

TADE GGの“GG”とは、かつてこの地に存在した金鉱に由来しており、今ではコーヒーが「緑の金（Green Gold）」として新たな価値を生んでいます。ナチュラルプロセスならではの果実感あふれる風味は、ブルーベリーやプラムのような鮮やかな酸味と、レーズンやカカオのような奥行きのある甘みが調和。浅煎りでもしっかりとした飲みごたえを楽しめる一杯に仕上がっています。

TADE GG Natural is a unique Ethiopian coffee grown in the highland forests of the Guji zone, specifically in the Shakisso village of Sidamo. This organically grown, JAS-certified coffee offers a complex and satisfying cup profile with winey notes, blueberry, plum-like acidity, and a creamy, round mouthfeel — a full experience even as a light roast.

The Story of TADE GG Farm
Located approximately 400 km south of Addis Ababa, TADE GG Farm lies in the forested hills of Shakisso village in Guji. Surrounded by lush greenery and farm animals roaming freely, the farm is a peaceful and sustainable environment.

After a series of forest fires devastated the area between 2000 and 2004, Tesfaye Bekele purchased 5 hectares of remaining forest and land. His mission was to regenerate the environment and begin organic coffee farming by planting coffee alongside shade trees. Since the first harvest in 2006, Tesfaye has worked closely with local smallholders to improve quality and sustainability, expanding the farm to a total of 521 hectares.

The name “GG” pays tribute to the area’s history of gold mining, while today, TADE GG produces what locals now call “Green Gold” — high-quality organic coffee.
